Today on Modern Builds I'm creating a fully DIY, white concrete river coffee table with a no-weld steel base. Live edge river tables made with wood slabs have been crazy known trend as of late and I wanted to place my own spin on it! Look forward to more concrete experiments like this in the future!!

Been really looking forward to this seeing this since you talked about it on the podcast and it definitely didn't disappoint! Really smart solution to not having a welder - both cheap and effective - and the cracked edge of the concrete looks nice! I love the tactility and intricacy it brings which contrasts with the rest of the design, and although I see where others are coming from re. the launch zone with a coffee table I personally don't think you ever really need to use the full surface as the edges are plenty for mugs, ebooks etc :)
Maybe resin in the center next time?
Umm... did you forget to pour the epoxy river?
I need a garage and run doing these things instead of watching my eyes off....lol
You lost me at your long infomercial at 4:30 mins in.
Great job, lad. But... I'd have filled the crack-zone with crystalline epoxy. It'd have looked nice. But you did a nice, lad. Congrats...
Fill in the gap with a turquoise epoxy and you got yourself a true river table
i thought you would feel the middle with transparent epoxy that will look like a river
Can you add epoxy to this?
Is the concrete top just sitting on the base, not attached?
