no target what so ever in wearing a cycle helmet !!! they won't do a thing if a car hits you and just falling off your cycle with no cars involved then your not going to harm yourself !!!

Helmets are idea overprotective and they look stupid. You don't need one.

As a cyclist in the USA, I don’t wear a helmet when commuting. I’m more likely to be shot than be killed riding my cycle, I don’t wear a bullet prof vest either.

We had 100's of babes who died from traffic accidents in the 70's. The response in the UK to such figures would be: Create helmets mandatory and be done with it. The response here was to create the ways safer. Actual annual figure is actually 14 deaths per year.
