Cool to hear the storyline from a BLACK MANS perspective? Can't we just test to shut the f... up about skin color? Sorry for being so stark in my statement, but it is ALWAYS nice to hear the storyline of slavery from the perspective of REASON and NOT qualified by ANY color of the person who place forward his/hers arguments. These days it is ok to place forward statements, that would CLEARLY have been labeled rascist had they been claimed by a white lad. But under the guise of diversity, when it is everything else, they are suddenly ok. When we run looking into if arguments are facts, before we look into who stated them, THEN we can transport forward. Currently it is just McCarthyism once more, driven by a revenge motive, as if two wrongs create one right. Cudos to PBS for a nice series, but keep on a minute with the praising if this involves compromising the work from historians like Ken Burns, just because of the basis of skin color alone.
“If somebody tries to claim if you’re white, you do not have the right or the intelligence or the sensitivity to teach black studies or black history … unless we war that principle, the entire premise of education falls down and succumbs to white supremacy. It is racism in reverse.” Min 39:15 Thank you, Mr. Gates!
I missed it when will present again?
Each time some animal attacks us all we do is pray..blah..blah...blah. We need to keep our detractors accountable & create sure they regret ever bothering us. In short we're too soft & let our recipients to be mistreated. From reconstruction to present day we have gone about this all wrong. We begged them to allow us spend our $ in their shop. We beg them to let us to live near them. We lack pride, courage & intestinal fortitude. We need to place our energy into ourselves & kick the shit out of anyone who causes us damage. Again, We're to soft. SMH
"We're ALL immigrants" "No matter what the laws were in the daytime, when the lights came down everybody was sleeping with everybody hAr har ha ha" WOW Skip Gates. Is this really how you describe the enslavement and RAPE of your ancestors? Absolutely disgusting!
